Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Defense Financial Management Analyst to enhance our team’s capability in managing complex financial tasks within the defense sector. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the financial planning, analysis, and management of defense-related projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will conduct financial analysis and reporting for defense projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • You will collaborate with defense project managers to develop and monitor project budgets and financial plans.
  • You will provide insightful analysis of financial risks and opportunities within defense projects.
  • You will ensure compliance with government financial regulations and standards specific to the defense sector.
  • You will assist in the preparation of financial documents, including budget proposals and financial reports.
  • You will support the financial audit  processes and implement recommendations for improvement.
  • You will engage in cost-benefit analysis for defense programs and initiatives.
  • You will liaise with various departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

 

Qualifications:

  • Unquestionable integrity, credibility, and character.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, with a focus on defense or government financial management. In some instances, a degree can be waived in lieu of functional relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in  financial management, preferably in the defense sector.
  • Familiarity with defense budgeting processes and financial regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • General working knowledge of some of the following systems and associated reports: Navy ERP (ECC & S4), DAI, OBIEE, SABRS, SMARTS, GCSS-MC, SYNCADA, DTS, GSA, EBS, PIEE/WAWF, WebVLips, CEDMS, LDG, STORES, EEBP, and DMLSS.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Proof of U.S. citizenship or US permanent residency may be a requirement for this position.
  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
